For the gog tool by TheIndexAura. Last updated 2026-11-08.
Who uses gog
gog is a private tool. Only the owner of TheIndexAura uses it, with their own Google accounts, on their own computer. It has no other users.
What Google data gog can reach
- Gmail: read, search, label and archive their mail, and move it to Trash; send or forward mail they ask it to send; change their Gmail settings, which includes forwarding settings.
- Google Calendar: see, add, change and delete their calendars and calendar events, including calendar sharing settings and invitations they ask it to send.
- Google Drive: see, upload, change, share and delete their files.
Why
So the owner can do their own email, scheduling and file work from their computer. gog uses the data for nothing else.
Where the data stays
gog runs only on the owner's computer. Mail, events and files stay in their Google accounts; gog shows them on their screen when they ask. gog's sign-in keys are kept in the Windows password vault on that computer. gog has no server, keeps no copy of their data anywhere else on its own, and uses no ads or analytics.
Sharing
gog does not sell, rent or share Google data. Data leaves their accounts only when the owner tells gog to do so, for example to send or forward an email, send a calendar invitation, or share a file.
Keeping and deleting
gog keeps sign-in keys until the owner removes them with gog auth remove. Deleting gog and its settings folder from the computer removes its local copies. Mail, events and files stay in the Google accounts under Google's own rules.
Security
Sign-in keys sit in the Windows password vault, and the app's client secret never sits in a plain file. Access works only from the owner's signed-in computer.
Taking access back
Any account can remove gog's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Google API Services User Data Policy
gog's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
